Despite the restrictions arising from the Covid-19 pandemic your Leavenheath Neighbourhood Plan (LNP) Committee have been making progress. We have been holding “virtual meetings” via the ubiquitous Zoom and, thanks to John Simpson’s diligent form filling, we have recently been awarded a government grant via the Locality Neighbourhood Planning Support Group ( https://neighbourhoodplanning.org/ ) to cover the costs of developing the LNDP.
The grant has enabled the LNP team to award a contract to Rachel Leggett & Associates ( https://www.rachelleggett.co.uk/neighbourhoodplanning ) who provide experience and expertise in community engagement, neighbourhood planning and community projects for Town & Parish Councils. Rachel’s team will guide and assist us in formulating and writing a professional ND Plan for Leavenheath.
Further grants may be applied for in the future to cover Technical Support Packages.
The next important step is to engage with Leavenheath interest groups and stakeholders to obtain a cross section of views, build relationships and a promote a broader understanding of the Neighbourhood Plan.
